Hamlet Golf & Country Club Kicks Off the Season with Multiple Club Improvements
Recent Renovations Bring Enhanced Golf Experience, New Dining and Social Features
COMMACK, May 12 2015 – The Hamlet Golf & Country Club, a member of the ClubCorp family of clubs, kicks off the season with just completed golf course renovations along with recent clubhouse renovations bringing stylish décor along with new dining, social and family features. ClubCorp purchased the club in 2011 and has since invested more than $3 million in renovations, upgrades and improvements designed to enhance the club experience for members and their families.
“This really has been a new beginning for the club,” said Jon Cheshire, General Manager. “With the new amenities and improvements, the members have so many more reasons to visit the club. We are able to provide a more robust calendar of events and much more value in membership too. We expect to have a fantastic summer.”
Just completed improvements to the golf course include:
- New Bentgrass fairways and new fairway bunkers, irrigation controls, extended cart paths and a new fleet of golf carts.
The recently renovated clubhouse features:
- New Bar and Dining Area – casual modern atmosphere with a communal table and innovative new menu items
- New welcoming Lobby and Vestibule
- Locker Room Improvements (Men’s and Women’s)
- New State-of-the-Art Fitness Center
- New Wine Cellar that can accommodate private wine dinners for up to 10 people, includes private wine lockers
- New full-service poolside Cabana Café and resort-style outdoor bar
- Improvements and upgrades to the outdoor grill and tennis and pool areas
The summer calendar includes Backyard BBQ Night, Sunday Family Fun Days, Pancakes and Pajamas Breakfast, and Cocktails and Canvas’, dinner dances, upscale specialty dining events and much more
“All of the changes have rejuvenated the club and created a new sense of pride in belonging for the members,” said Carl Talesnick, chairman of the club’s board of governors.
The Hamlet Golf & Country Club, a private club located in Commack, offers a spectacular 6,462-yard, par-70 championship golf course that offers a challenge to golfers of all skill levels. Amenities also include a clubhouse offering upscale and casual dining with indoor and outdoor options, eight lighted tennis courts, heated swimming pool, full-service pro shop, and brand new fitness center.
