The Estée Lauder Companies Appoints Guillaume Jesel to Senior Vice President/General Manager, Global Corporate Innovation
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 7, 2014– The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE:EL) announced today that Guillaume Jesel has been named to the newly created position of Senior Vice President/General Manager, Global Corporate Innovation. Mr. Jesel will transition from his current role as Senior Vice President, Global and North America Marketing for M·A·C Cosmetics to his new position, effective March 31, 2014. In his position, Mr. Jesel will report to Carl Haney, Executive Vice President, Global Research and Development, Corporate Product Innovation, Package Development for The Estée Lauder Companies.
Mr. Jesel will lead Global Corporate Innovation, including corporate technologies, external innovation and the Company’s long-term innovation pipeline and portfolio. During his transition, he will work closely with Daria Myers, Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Innovation and Sustainability. Ms. Myers will remain an advisor to both Mr. Jesel and Mr. Haney.
Since Ms. Myers joined Corporate Innovation in 2009, the Company’s capabilities in this area have grown substantially in global expertise and scale. Her leadership has helped build a multi-stream, multi-year innovation pipeline that has kept the Company on the cutting edge of prestige beauty.

His extensive experience includes the deployment of M·A·C’s 50 launches annually, spearheading the acceleration of local and cultural relevance efforts for the powerhouse brand and overseeing M·A·C’s Product Marketing, Supply Chain and Consumer Marketing and Insights. Mr. Jesel also helped lead the brand’s groundbreaking fashion and pop culture partnerships and collaborations, establishing the brand as a leader in social media, and contributing to the success of its breakthrough Viva Glam campaigns in support of the M·A·C AIDS Fund.

Mr. Jesel has been with the Company for 14 years, serving in a number of senior roles, including Vice President, Global Makeup Marketing for the Estée Lauder brand, and Executive Director of International, M·A·C Cosmetics. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Jesel served in marketing capacities of increasing responsibility at the Lancôme division of L’Oréal.
