The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built, Seven Seas Explorer, to Feature One-Of-A-Kind Regent Suite with Cruise Industry First In-Suite Spa Retreat

NEW YORK (Jan. 13, 2015) – A new category of luxury suite will debut exclusively on Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ all new ship, Seven Seas Explorer, when it sets sail in the summer of 2016. The lavishly appointed two-bedroom, 3,875-square-foot Regent Suite is the cornerstone of the most luxurious ship ever built, and comes complete with an in-room spa retreat, a first at sea, and features an outdoor, glass-enclosed sitting area aptly named the Vista Garden that will provide magnificent, unobstructed 270-degree views over the ship’s bow.

“The opulence and elegance of the Regent Suite will be unmatched in the luxury vacation segment, and it truly epitomizes the vision we have for the entire vessel,” shared Jason Montague, president and chief operating officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “With Seven Seas Explorer, we set out to build a ship that will far surpass the current standard for luxury and bear the distinction of being the most luxurious ship ever to set sail.”

Luxurious Living and Entertaining
Located at the ship’s bow on deck 14, guests entering the Regent Suite will feel as though they’ve entered a magnificent Park Avenue apartment. The suite is lavishly appointed with the finest marble, exotic woods and handcrafted furnishings that exude a sense of grandeur and awe. A decorative credenza separates the suite lobby from the dining area where the room’s centerpiece circular table sits beneath a decadent golden chandelier. Beyond the dining room is the glass-enclosed Vista Garden, which divides the massive, beam-to-beam wraparound veranda and offers an unparalleled sheltered vantage point with 270-degree views to the horizon.

For entertaining friends onboard, the living room features a black marble bar with chic black lacquered stools. A custom Steinway Arabesque piano by famed designer Dakota Jackson sits amongst a plush couch and lounge chairs with a wall of uninterrupted floor-to-ceiling windows serving as backdrop. A media center features an oversized flat screen 4K ultra high-definition television along with a collection of limited-edition art books, artifacts and Murano glass bowls.

Bedrooms and Spa Suite
The master bedroom is decorated with glass, polished metals, exotic woods and natural stone. An expansive collection of floor-to-ceiling windows provides guests with majestic ocean views and stunning port vistas from the comfort of a Savoir king-sized bed. Wood floors transition to carpet with trellis-style hand-tufted inlays framing the bed. A separate sitting area in the master bedroom features a sumptuous sofa and large flat screen 4K ultra high-definition television.

A first for any cruise ship, the Regent Suite features a master bathroom spa retreat that delivers all the pampering comforts of the Canyon Ranch Spa Club without leaving the suite’s lavish comforts. A treatment area, full sauna, ceramic heated relaxation loungers and multi-jet shower are at guests’ 24-hour disposal. Also included for guests booked in the Regent Suite are unlimited complimentary in-suite spa treatments. An oversized hot tub located adjacent to the spa retreat looks out over the ocean and is enclosed by glass, protecting guests from the outside elements while still providing an al fresco ambiance.

A guest bedroom features a similar design reflective of the master suite with a separate and inviting sitting area.

The privileges of booking the Regent Suite extend beyond its doors. Inclusive amenities to those booking this suite include a private car with driver and guide in every port, free unlimited laundry and pressing, business and first class air as well as private sedan transfer to and from the airport.
