Jean-Christophe Jourde Promoted to Senior Vice President/General Manager for North America, Clinique

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jun. 17, 2013– Jean-Christophe Jourde has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President/General Manager for North America, Clinique. Mr. Jourde will be responsible for driving Clinique sales and market share growth for the brand in the North America region. Mr. Jourde’s appointment will be effective from July 1st and he will report to Mr. Ricardo Quintero, Senior Vice President, Global General Manager, Market Development, Clinique.

Currently Mr. Jourde is Vice President/General Manager for Clinique Europe, Middle East and Africa where he oversees 38 markets. He has played a key role in refocusing the brand on its core values and unique proposition to regain market share in Western Europe while accelerating growth in Eastern Europe and the emerging markets. He has created and led regional capabilities including media, store design, visual merchandising, trade marketing, education, communications and consumer engagement. Mr. Jourde has also enhanced the consumer experience with the brand across Europe in both assisted and non-assisted doors. He has co-led major corporate organizational projects in EMEA including the creation and structure of the regional office.

Mr. Jourde began his career with The Estée Lauder Companies in Germany in 2004 as the Brand Manager for Estée Lauder and Aramis Designer Fragrances, later adding Tom Ford to his responsibilities. Prior to joining the Estée Lauder Companies, Mr. Jourde worked in various senior positions at L’Oréal International on brands such as La Roche-Posay, Biotherm and Vichy. Mr. Jourde has worked in various international markets including Canada where he spent four years.
