KKR Announces Appointment of Ralph Rosenberg as Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Investing

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (together with its affiliates, "KKR") today announced the appointment of real estate veteran Ralph Rosenberg as Managing Director to lead its global real estate investing efforts.

Mr. Rosenberg's principal responsibility will be working across KKR's global business to find attractive real estate opportunities for the firm's diverse pools of capital, including equity, debt and special situations investments. His experience will augment KKR's ability to analyze and add operational value to businesses with significant real estate holdings.

In addition to several investments in real estate-related businesses, KKR has invested in more than a dozen real estate properties and platforms.

Mr. Rosenberg spent seventeen years at Goldman Sachs, a partner from 1998 until he left in 2006, where he was involved in the investment and management of over $50 billion of real estate transactions worldwide, serving as Co-Chief Operating Officer of Goldman's Whitehall Funds and the Archon Capital Commercial Real Estate Lending Platform until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, he co-headed Goldman's Special Situations Group before founding his own investment firm, R6 Capital Management, which focused on commercial real estate, asset-based and corporate credit opportunities. Most recently, Mr. Rosenberg was a Partner of Eton Park Capital Management, where he was a member of the firm's operating and commitment committees and was responsible for the firm's strategies in the commercial real estate debt and equity markets.

Mr. Rosenberg is a Trustee of Brown University and serves on the University's Investment and Advancement Committees. He is also a Trustee of The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, an Honorary Trustee of the Francis W. Parker School inChicago and a former member of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust. He graduated from Brown University in 1986, magna cum laude, with a BA in American History. He received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1990.
